Pedro Maldonado (Blanca)
A few nail marks, scratches below the treble side golpeador, a pin-thin surface scratch on the bass side and a couple very
small impressions on the back of the neck between the second
and third frets make this an extremely affordable master
grade flamenco. It is in perfect working/playing order and
sounds great.
Top is German spruce
(back when German was actually German--
very nicely bear-clawed). Lovely cypress back and sides;
ebony fretboard, Spanish cedar neck; Brazilian rosewood
bridge. Seven-band binding of rosewood and maple; extremely
intricate rosette; unusual tieblock of ivoroid (or, possibly,
ivory--really hard to tell).
Headstock is elaborately
carved with a Brazilian rosewood
facing and has binding in the wells. Brazilian heel cap and
bridge; top of the line Fustero tuners are in perfect
condition; golpeas. Standard scale/fret width (650/52).
Action is low--about
3.2 at 12th. Sound is explosive,
extremely responsive--this is a firecracker. Comes with a
brand new Guardian hardshell.
