The name
Felix Manzanero is well known among the aficionados of fine classical guitars.
He was master Luther in the Ramirez workshop in the 1950's, 1960's and in fact,
many of the finer Ramirez 1a guitars from that era have FM stamped on the heelblock,
confirming that Felix built that guitar. He left Ramirez to build guitars under
his own name in the late 1960's.
Made with a Solid Cedar top. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Special gold-plated
Fustero tuning machines. All the woods employed in this guitar have been aged
at least 25 years. The 59 year old Cedar top is outstanding, and Indian rosewood
is superb. Felix is among the great makers of Spain, and his guitars not only
have the power one expects in a concert instrument, but a noble rich, complex,
refined, and balanced tone.
This one is an absolute gems of the Luther's art. This guitar is is in great
condition for it's age. It has some tiny nicks and dings as a 34 year old guitar
would normally have (from normal use). It had one crack (below the bridge) professionally
repaired at some point. It comes with a hardshell case and case cover in new
condition. Approx scale length: 660mm, approx nut length: 53 mm.
This is an outstanding guitar!
Price: $3400
