The 7fc is a great flamenco guitar. It is all solid and features the traditional Solid Cypress used for the back and sides. The beautiful Cypress in conjunction with the high-quality German Spruce top gives this guitar a great Flamenco bite with great tone quality and projection.

This guitar is built entirely by hand by the master luthiers at Alhambra, Javier Mengual and Jose Margarit.

It is beautifully constructed and has a very traditional flamenco sound.

This model was the first-prize winner of the Joaquin Rodrigo competition in October of 2000 and is among Contreras' finest instruments. This particular guitar is his "premium series" version of the instrument, which indicates top selection of materials and workmanship.

The materials used are exquisite, featuring his best well-aged Brazilian rosewood and very dark, elegant Spruce for the soundboard. Workmanship is to the highest standards - this can be instantly detected even with a quick glance at the detailing, particularly in the purfling and rosette.

In the innovative Contreras spirit, this model is uniquely constructed with an inner-sounding back support, which allows the back to resonate freely - eliminating much of the normal dampening caused from contact with the players` body. The sound is penetrating and has exceptional sustain. It has huge projection and can fill any sized concert hall. A true "concert-grand" of an instrument.

Jose Marin Plazuelo is the nephew of the famous luthier, Antonio Marin Montero, and has recently been gaining quite a bit of fame on his own. He and his uncle share a small workshop in Granada, Spain where they build some of the world's finest guitars.

The workmanship, materials, and attention to details of this guitar are all absolutely exquisite.

This guitar has the Schertler Dual Source system installed. This system gives an amazingly natural sound when amplification is necessary. (The only modifications to the guitar are a tiny hole for the under-saddle pickup, and a hole in the rear of the guitar for a 1/4" plug.)
