1969 Kohno Model 5

German spruce top, select Indian rosewood back and sides,
ebony fretboard, deluxe Gotoh tuners.

This guitar is in pristine condition--Excellent +, by far
the best condition of any vintage Kohno we've come across,
very hard to believe it is anything close to 37 years old.
A few scratches and some finish wear to the back of the neck-
-yes, it's been played!--but without looking closely, one
might think it was new.

Its age suggests that Kohno himself almost certainly made,
as he had not built his shop up before the mid-1970s. Sound
is full--dry basses, crystal clear trebles, good volume,
GREAT balance and extremely low action (well under 4mm)
without any buzzing. The action is so low that, in fact,
one might actually consider raising for a bit of boost in
sound--or leave as is for a super fast set up.
