I love how easy it is to put on and take off. I love the way it supports my guitar. I like my guitar angles pretty high and this support does just that!

Right Product, Right time

I learned classical guitar in the 1970's. At that time the RH position had the wrist drooping toward the floor. That has been updated to just the opposite. I joined CGS to learn the new approach. It has been a struggle. I noticed the use of guitar supports and at the recommendation of Allen Matthews at CGS, I acquired and installed the Sagewood standard guitar support. It has made holding the guitar easier and more comfortably and promotes the RH position to enable execution of this "new" technique. Although I have only had it for 5 days, I can see the improvement in my RH already!

Best looking and functioning support so far!

I learned to play classical guitar with a foot rest. I always hated it. I could not sit comfortably, balanced, or centered. My spine would hurt. I tried the suction cup brace for a while, but it would slide off or the suction cups would come off. Then you have to get the brace right where you want it again.

The sageworks uses magic to hold the brace right where you want it. Or is it magnets? Once it's set up it is locked in every time.

It admittedly does take longer to set up, which requires you to loosen the strings and command strip the inner magnet in place. But that is a easily worth it to me.

One change I would like to see is finger adjustable screws for the angle adjustments. I'm thinking something like PC Case Thumbscrews. The Thumbscrews sticking out instead of flush would need to be considered.
Needing an Allan key is make that adjustment is a minor inconvenience, but since I use this on multiple guitars with the addition magnet set it is sometimes needed.

Minor improvements aside, this is the best support that I have found on the market. I cannot speak to longevity or wear and tear on the guitar at this time, but I don't see that being an issue. If the cork pads wear out those can easily be replaced as can the command strip holding the inner magnet.

Thank you very much for your great review!

I'm curious about what you wrote about the Allen key. That isn't needed to make angle adjustments. It's only provided in case you'd like to tighten or loosen the swivel of the magnets. They aren't meant to be so tight that they are immobile. The design of the structure will keep things stable even if they are loose. Having them a bit loose is desirable as it allow them to correctly conform to the angle of your guitar and lie flat.

Thank you again for the review!

Absolutely worth it!

I’ve tried the foot stands, the leg cushion, the ergo support, the guitar lift and the suction cups work for awhile and eventually fall off during play. This stays put after eight hours of play and no complaints!

This support is very comfortable and the magnets are very strong, so everything stays in place very well. I liked it so much, in fact that I bought another one (the tall support) the next day to fit one of my smaller guitars and that too is exactly what I’ve been looking for in order to just play and practice and not have to think about supports coming down unexpectedly. The extra magnets are needed if you plan to outfit more than one guitar, but it’s easy to install and absolutely worth it! These are great supports

Better ergonomics

Much improved comfort over a footstool or an A frame support. The degree of adjustability along with less strain makes it my personal favorite. While the regular size is probably just fine for most I'm 5'5 and also have a shoulder issue which makes keeping my left arm lower more ideal for me so I have now also ordered the short sized front arm. It's a matter of a half inch I'm looking for but it'll make all the difference for me. Again I'm shorter and have a shoulder issue, I'm positive the regular size will be fine for most people under 6 foot or so. Highly recommended!
