In 1870, José Ramírez I started attending Francisco González's workshop. After gaining independence, he opened his workshop in 1882. Today, Ramírez Guitars is considered one of the most important makers of Spanish handcrafted guitars in the world and is acknowledged as the oldest Spanish guitar house.
