Far more reliable than the suction cups used by other brands, the Woodside Guitar Support's grippers firmly grasp the edge of the instrument. The patented pivoting system compensates for any guitar body depth variation and grips equally at all four contact points — no other guitar support has it.
Why Choose a Woodside Guitar Support?
Ergonomic Design
The Woodside positions your guitar at your ideal playing angle while both feet stay flat on the floor, reducing strain on your shoulders, back, and hips during long practice and performance sessions. Immediate comfort benefits are followed by lasting improvements in posture and reduced body strain.
Better Sound
Unlike a footstool-and-leg arrangement that damps the instrument against your body, the Woodside lets the guitar's back vibrate freely, improving resonance and projection.
The Patented Pivoting Gripper System
Every guitar body varies in depth — often within the same instrument. The Woodside's fully pivoting grippers automatically align to those variations, which lowers the overall gripping force required and ensures a uniform, secure grip at all four contact points. The system is compatible with both conventional and raised-fingerboard guitars.
Precision Construction
Woodside supports are precision-machined from anodized aluminum, brass, and stainless steel, with non-marring gripper surfaces that protect your instrument's finish. Built to last a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will a Woodside support work with my guitar?
Standard Woodside models fit guitar bodies from 80 to 113 mm deep, which covers most classical and acoustic guitars — including instruments with raised fingerboards. For electric solid-body, hollow-body, and other narrow-bodied guitars, the GS4-ELG version includes gripper sets for thin and medium body depths.
How does a guitar support differ from a footstool?
A guitar support attaches to the instrument and elevates it to proper playing position while both feet remain flat on the floor. This improves posture, eliminates the raised-leg strain of a footstool, and allows the back of the guitar to vibrate freely for better sound.
Will it damage my guitar's finish?
No. All contact points use non-marring gripper materials, and because the pivoting system distributes the grip evenly across four points, the overall clamping force is lower than with other edge-grip designs.
Can I adjust it for a more vertical (flamenco or raised) position?
Yes. The locking ball-and-socket joint provides ±13° of adjustment in all directions, and the AB-2 Angle Block accessory adds a further 15° or 25° of offset for players who prefer a more upright instrument angle.
