The Woodside provides all of these adjustments — some of which cannot be made with other guitar supports, especially plastic-plate models. Once set up, the Woodside "remembers" your settings.
Once the basic cradle opening size is set, a simple flip of the lever creates a firm, stable clamp to the guitar. It's literally a "snap" to attach and remove.
Dialing in your fit: Make basic size adjustments by turning the lever screw in and out to match the body width of your guitar. The mechanism is highly precise and repeatable — if you have more than one guitar, simply note how many turns it takes to go from one to the other.
The clamping action will not harm your guitar in any way. Consult your luthier if you have concerns.

Not only is it compatible with raised-fingerboard guitars, the grippers automatically align with the body depth variations found in every guitar. All guitars listed on our site as "new" carry a 3-year warranty that covers defects in workmanship. If any manufacturing defects are found within the first three years, we will repair or replace the instrument.
I am very pleased with this guitar support. It makes the guitar positionally stable and at the same time it moves just the right amount with my body to where I don't feel frozen in place. I've tried several different supports over the years and this is by far the best.
*One word of advice to new users: Make sure you don't tighen the grippers on your guitar down too hard because it'll make them pop off. Start a little looser and adjust the tension gradually, and you'll get a feel for the optimal tightness.
I have tried several gadgets to get my guitar in proper position and this one is certainly the best. Love it.
This guitar support has many good features but also one flaw. The clamp system is excellent and holds the guitar securely and without scratching it. The height can be adjusted to suit any playing position. The leg rest is comfortable. The angle in the plane of the player is very adjustable. However, the positional range of the ball in the socket is limited, making an adjustement of the angle of the collar very limited. Because of that, it is not possible to angle the collar much towards the body. This leads to leg rest slippage, making constant adjustments needed to keep the guitar in palce. This aspect could be improved.
Delivery was fast and great customer service. The woodside was easy to assemble without the written instructions. Best to find a video for setup. I prefer this support over a foot pedal as I now have a more consistent guitar angle.
Pants, shorts, skin, cotton, or polyester? Doesn’t matter. The rubber pad is slips and slide all over. Also, it doesn’t work well with cutaway bodies.
