Alhambra-branded VGV Classical Guitar Hardshell Case: Black - Upgrade [with guitar purchase only]

Absolutely Stunning Case. It is super strong, very protective, exquisitely lined/padded, and form fitting so it holds my guitar securely and doesn't allow it to slide around. I'd also add that it is a very handsome, low key guitar case that will protect your guitar throughout your travels. Bottom Line: I cannot describe how highly impressed I am with my new Alhambra Guitar and case. And let's not forget Geoff's incredible service, communication, pricing, and professionalism. I ordered this at the same time as the Alhambra 10 Premier Classical Guitar (reviewed in an earlier post). The XGuitars website describes it as “classy” and it is indeed that however I think a better term would be Elegant on both the inside and outside. The fit with the Alhambra 10 is absolutely perfect and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the D’Addario Humidipak is able to maintain acceptable RH levels even up here where the RH inside my house is about 22% most days. Great product and again excellent service from XGuitars!

This is an elegant case with a couple of minor issues. To pen the lid requires lifting in two places at the same time. There is a good bit of flex in the lid. Also the fit is very tight. The guitar squeaks against the sides when you put it in the case and it requires a bit of force to push the guitar down. Whether this will get better with time I don't know. I remove the guitar a couple of times every day and I would rather have something a bit looser. It is a tradeoff I guess. For shipping your want a tight fit. Not so much for daily use. Not a reflection on Geoff, X-Guitars or Alhambra. I am very pleased with the guitar and with Geoff's recommendation for the Sahework support.

He compared and wrote a sound review of each guitar.
There was a question about the sound of one of the guitars. He replaced the strings on that guitar with the strings he recommended, at no charge. I ended up buying that guitar. It fits my needs as cross over guitar. I look forward to working with him again when purchasing a more traditional classical guitar.
