Description

The Alhambra 9P Spruce Classical Guitar is handmade in Spain by a smaller, more experienced team at the Alhambra facility. It features a lighter, nitrocellulose lacquer finish and a bridge-like cross bracing. All of these factors work together to give this guitar a very beautiful, loud, and refined sound. The 9P features a bridge-shaped cross bracing pattern to give the top maximum volume and projection. (Click here to hear the pronunciation of "Alhambra".)

But richness is not the only thing. The action is also just perfect: high enough to make the guitar sing but extremely comfortable.  The sound projection is amazing. Basses, mediums and trebles are very well-balanced. You have a full control of the voices and can emphasize whatever voice you want without any struggle, therefore you become the conductor and have a complete orchestra under your fingers.

MEASUREMENTS
Upper Bout Width: 11.25" (11 1/4")
Lower Bout Width: 14.81" (14 13/16")
Upper Bout Depth: 3.94" (3 15/16")
Lower Bout Depth: 4.12" (4 1/8")

Recommended Strings: This guitar comes with D'Addario EXP44 Extra Hard Tension strings installed.  These are not bad strings, but don't allow the guitar to live up to its full potential.  I recommend the following strings for this guitar:

Carbon: My favorite strings of all I've tried are Savarez Alliance set 540J. These strings provide great volume and resonance.  Being Carbon, they are a bit thinner in diameter than nylon strings. The tone is brighter and not as mellow as nylon strings. If you want a softer sound, nylon may suit you better.

Nylon: For nylon strings, I really like Savarez Corum New Cristal set 500CJ strings.  They provide a nice round tone, good volume, and a comfortable feel.

Remarkably Resonant

This guitar is remarkably resonant. It is also physically beautiful.
