Cordoba Friederich Cedar Top Classical Guitar

This is the second classical guitar I have bought from XGuitars. I choose XGuitars for three reasons: 1) the excellent selection of fine classical guitars at a fair and reasonable price, 2) the friendly, knowledgeable, and timely service provided by Geoff Ferdon, and 3) proper guitar setup. The Cordoba Friedrich guitar arrived a few days after my purchase carefully packaged and perfectly set up. Simply put, this is the most beautiful sounding guitar I have ever played. The guitar has a deep, rich, and resonant sound. It has amazing volume without compromising the sound quality. Daniel Friedrich is a legendary luthier. This guitar incorporates all of the techniques he employed in building his guitars at a fraction of the cost. I recommend this guitar without hesitation to anyone looking for a concert quality cedar top instrument.

I have severe osteoarthritis, particularly in my left hand, so guitar setup is especially important to me. I asked Geoff to set the action as low as possible without creating fret buzz. He did so perfectly. I can sit and play for an hour without pain. Proper setup based on the guitarist's personal preferences is important for any guitar purchase to maximize your playing enjoyment. This guitar is a fine example of a concert guitar in the mold of the French builders who's sound is clearer than the Spanish builders at a fraction of the cost than if you bought a Robert Bouchet, Daniel Friederich or Daniel Lesueur guitar. XGuitars as a company and it's service are excellent!! The definition of excellent is something done as well as can be done. They are a totally responsive seller!

I bought this guitar several months ago. I was a little nervous about it, as I did not have a chance to play it first. It, given the past year, I figured this was par for the course. Frankly, I couldn’t be happier with this guitar! The sound is gorgeous with very loud basses and beautiful trebles. Dynamic variations come through spectacularly, and the guitar has a nice volume. Geoff took extra care with the setup and shipping, so the guitar was in superb condition. I had planned to review this earlier, but honestly I’ve been spending all my free time playing...
