Óscar Muñoz is a superb craftsman Luthier from the Spanish city of Granada. He builds handmade Spanish, classical, flamenco and concert guitars to order, according to his client’s specifications. His guitars are built following the traditional craftsmanship methods of Spain and, more specifically, Granada.

Óscar has been building Luthier guitars professionally for over 8 years, as well as working as a cabinet maker-carpenter for more than 20 years. He is a member of the Association of Guitar Builders of Granada and holds the Certificate of Accredited Craftsmanship issued by the Junta de Andalucía (Spain). He was also awarded second place in the “Antonio Marín Montero” International Guitar Building Competition in 2017. His training as a Luthier has included specialized courses and has very much been influenced by the great masters of Granada. He also has good recognition in Spain as a guitar builder.
Óscar specializes in the traditional Spanish guitar, heavily influenced by Maestro Antonio de Torres and the Escuela Tradicional Granadina. He hand-makes all of his instruments using the most prestigious, top-quality wood and they are hand-finished in shellac (French Polish). His rosette designs are exclusive and made using a very old and attractive technique known as ‘Taracea’. His production is very limited and each guitar is crafted individually with all the details that make it unique.
